Cancer Monthly Horoscope

There’s a lot going on in your life right now, Cancer, but you need to pace yourself anyhow. As we come down from the seismic change of May’s eclipse season, you might need a hard nap, if not a hard reset. And you’ve got planetary permission to indulge in both! Until the June 21 summer solstice, when Cancer season begins, the Sun will be lounging in Gemini and your restful twelfth house. In addition to you feeling sleepier than usual, your heightened intuition needs room to roam. Keep your schedule light so you can follow more of a flowy pace and capture those creative downloads!

When you do put anything on the books, it’s likely to be related to your career. Enterprising Jupiter is spending its first full month in Aries and your ambitious tenth house, its first time here since 2011. You might consider a big professional pivot, or get an opportunity to take on a leadership role. Field the offers but don’t leap at the first one unless it totally lights you up. Jupiter is here in a two-part visit until May 2023, so you’ve got time to make sure it’s really right. And when the June 28 Cancer new moon kicks off your personal new year, you’ll have lots more clarity going into July.

Two slow-moving outer planets turn retrograde this month: structured Saturn and dreamy Neptune. During their five-month reversals, you might engage in some deep research or do repair work on an intimate bond. Planning a summer getaway? A nostalgic trip to a destination you loved in the past could be healing.

Gemini season brings big feelings

Caught up in palpable emotions? June is a perennially sentimental month for your sign as the Sun makes its annual visit to Gemini and your nostalgic, restful twelfth house until June 21. It’s “soft-shell crab” time, when you wear your heart on your sleeve whether you want to or not. Be especially gentle with yourself, getting more sleep, saying “no” to draining obligations and having a good cry if you need one. Book a few healing treatments and massages to get your system back in order.

The twelfth house is the realm of endings and closure. You might be wrapping up a big project or considering a transition of some kind, whether that’s changing the dynamics of a relationship or allocating your time in a different way. No need to rush into anything concrete. This is a month to be guided by intuition and deeply connect with your wants and needs.

Do some creative visualizing: What does your ideal schedule look like, for example? How would you feel if your life had more white space in it? Free-writing in your journal can also lead to some helpful insights. Cancer, it’s not frivolous or indulgent to connect with your emotions, especially not now. Quite the opposite! Let them be your GPS as you take inventory of the relationships and responsibilities you want to bring into your next trip around the Sun.

Saturn goes retrograde in Aquarius June 4-October 23

Easy does it, Crab. On June 4, structured Saturn will turn around in Sagittarius and your eighth house of shared finances, sex and intimacy. The cautious cosmic curmudgeon will issue a speeding ticket if you try to rush into any binding relationships, urging you instead to take it one careful step at a time. Between now and October 23, you may need to rethink or repair a serious relationship, possibly working together with a therapist or starting the difficult process of parting ways. Saturn is all about the practical and tangible stuff, so if you’ve been putting this off, you can’t avoid the inevitable anymore. On the positive side, you might decide to get more serious with someone, perhaps even reviving an old relationship or renewing your vows if you’re a longtime couple.

At work, you might get really serious about pursuing a joint venture, diving into the necessary research or hashing out the finer points. Saturn is the master builder of the zodiac, and its reversals expose crucial flaws in the foundation. If you’ve constructed anything on a shaky base—a friendship, business deal or romance—Saturn retrograde will force you to strengthen that core or go bust. Crunch those numbers and run them by a certified pro to make sure no resource will be wasted!

The June 14 Sagittarius full supermoon wakes up your wellness warrior

Order in the Cancerian court! The June 14 Sagittarius full moon arrives the next day, flooding your sixth house of health, fitness and organization with its bountiful beams. If you’ve been waiting for an answer on a medical matter or planning to revamp your wellness routines, the full moon brings it all together. This is the culmination of the December 4 Sagittarius solar eclipse from six months ago.

Is your home feeling more stressed than #blessed? The full moon in your orderly sixth house could inspire a deep-cleaning and decluttering. Get your place ready for the summer solstice and Cancer season! If you could use a few extra hands, put out the call. The sixth house rules helpful people and employees, and this illuminating full moon could reveal the perfect person to assist your endeavors.

You’re back! Cancer season (June 21) and the June 28 Cancer new moon

And…you’re back! When the Sun moves into Cancer on June 21, your energy returns full force, and you’ll be downright irresistible this birthday season. Between now and July 22, give yourself and your passion projects top priority.

The June 28 Cancer new moon really brings it all home, kicking off a fresh six-month cycle for your most indie-spirited quests. This annual new moon marks your personal new year, a time to identify what you’d like to accomplish between now and your next birthday. Dream big!

Unlike the full moon earlier this month, which was a supermoon, this one is a “micro-moon.” This effect occurs when the new or full moon connects with the point in the moon’s orbit that’s farthest from the Earth (called apogee), making it appear smaller from our vantage point here. That doesn’t mean the distant moon won’t work its magic—and we can’t see the new moon anyhow—but it may not be quite as impactful as a supermoon, which occurs when la luna is at the CLOSEST point (perigee) to our planet.

Baby steps: Neptune turns retrograde June 28-December 3

Are some of those supersized plans a little too lofty to pull off in a pinch? Don’t give up your dream, Cancer, but DO break it down into bite-sized steps or smaller milestones. On June 28, hazy Neptune turns retrograde in Pisces and your expansion sector until December 3, which could give you a case of “grass is greener” syndrome. Plans around travel, entrepreneurship and study might take a different course than expected. You may need to scale down a little if you’ve rushed ahead of yourself. Take the time to conduct due diligence over the next five months. Anything worth doing is worth doing right!

Got a favorite vacation or retreat spot? Since retrogrades rule the past, this is an ideal summer to revisit this place. Bonus points if your journeys involve personal growth work or a course of metaphysical study. Perhaps you’ll be able to travel and attend a workshop that hasn’t been available IRL during the pandemic (and it’s just not the same on Zoom…). Rebook that experience and do a deep-diving soul session with a healer or inspirational teacher.

Go all in or keep it casual? For the first three weeks of the month, you might be pulled in both directions. Part of you is feeling a bit anxious about the future and where things are going. At the same time, you want to keep some mystery and fantasy in the space instead of fretting about your five-year plan.

So what’s driving this? All month long, randy Mars will race through Aries and your long-term-goals realm (from May 24 to July 5, to be precise). It’ll be easy to be swept up in happily-ever-after fantasies too quickly or get a few steps ahead of yourself in a solid union. Set clear intentions and boundaries NOW, before you fall down any romantic rabbit holes. With the red planet stoking the flames of passion, no one will fault you for getting a little intense. You just don’t want to put that fire out by being overly focused on “where things are going.”

The antidote: Come back to the present moment and savor it as best as you can! That won’t be hard while the other love planet, Venus, is in Taurus and your social sector until June 22, adding a lighthearted touch. If your emotions are revving a little high, step back and get advice and perspective from your closest friends. Or better still, break up the obsessing and intensity with a swirl of fun. Unattached? Group hangs can be a rich source of potential prospects, so chat up new faces—or the familiar ones you always gravitate to. With Venus in your tech sector, you could find worthwhile candidates on the dating apps too.

From June 22 to July 17, Venus will plunge into Gemini and your internally focused twelfth house. You may once again paddle too far out on the emotion ocean to swim back to shore. What to do? Catch the right wave, ride it home and let those feelings flow. On dry land, drop your guard, allow people to see your caring and vulnerable side, and ask for support when you need it. If you’re healing from a heartbreak, there will be no more avoiding those difficult emotions. The only way out of it is through it. Just make sure you have plenty of support for when you need to grieve, vent or process any pain.

If you’re happily coupled, expect to catch a nostalgic or mushy wave or three. Let yourself gush over your mate and be spoiled too. By opening yourself up to receiving, you’ll feel no shortage of love in your life!

Get ready for a hot summer when it comes to your career! With go-getter Mars in Aquarius and your tenth house of career from May 24 to July 5, your influence and ambition could be off the charts. Wooing decision makers, courting contacts with clout: Your pitches will be hard to resist. You might be offered an exciting promotion or leadership post. Make sure you’re ready to take on the responsibilities of the role, though. While the position looks great on your LinkedIn profile, you want to make sure it’s a job you’ll love for years to come. Looking for work? Ramp up your search and get advice from mentors or headhunters if you’re not getting a response.

For the first three weeks of the month, you could feel both wired and tired. The Sun is in Gemini and your restful twelfth house until June 21. Regulate your drive, and give yourself the space to rest after any big energy output. Once Cancer season starts on the June 21, it will be all systems go!

Got debt? Saturn turns retrograde in Aquarius and your eighth house of investments and long-term finances on June 4. During this five month cycle, take a clear-eyed look at your future fiscal planning, with the help of an adviser if you need one. Dial back the risky spending and portfolio building and focus on more tried-and-true assets like real estate if you want to allocate funds anywhere. This is a good time to pay down loans, credit cards or tax bills. Not sure how? Call up these companies to arrange a payment plan or consolidate—and relieve your subconscious of the stress you’re been carrying.
