CSK vs KKR, IPL 2022, Live Updates: Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu will look to steady Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) ship after the defending champions lost both their openers in the first match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Umesh Yadav struck twice for the KKR, dismissing both CSK openers inside the powerplay. Umesh got the better of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the first over before also dismissing debutant Devon Conway in the fifth over. Earlier, KKR had won the toss and elected to bowl against CSK. KKR named three overseas players — Sam Billings, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine — in their playing XI while CSK pick four overseas players — Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner, Dwayne Bravo, and Adam Milne. Ahead of the toss, KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer received his debut cap, alongside fellow newcomers Ajinkya Rahane and Billings. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja will lead CSK this season after MS Dhoni stepped down from his role earlier this week.
